It is with great joy that we share the news that we made the call for our next Vicar for St. John’s. The candidate has accepted the call and we have the Bishop’s approval. Reverend Portia Corbin will be the next Vicar (part time priest) for St. John’s. Portia is currently serving a parish in the Diocese of South Dakota and has been a priest since 2013.
Portia’s husband, Rev. Dr. Christopher Corbin, has been called to serve at Trinity Parish, The Episcopal Church in Oshkosh. Portia and Chris have two daughters: four-year old Louisa and ten-month old Millie (Amelia). The Corbins move from South Dakota to Oshkosh in mid-March. Portia’s first Sunday with us will be Palm Sunday, March 28.
Please help us welcome Portia to our congregation and help her to become part of our church family. Include the Corbin's in your prayers as they prepare to move, make their trek to Wisconsin, and get settled in their new roles and home in Oshkosh.
Blessings, Dan LeClair, Senior Warden

Thank you Vestry and Search Committee!
The Vestry and Search Committee have spent a long 5 years in transition and searching for a new vicar. We are so excited to welcome and get settled with Rev. Portia Corbin. We appreciate the support of Rev. Ed Smith, Rev. Wilson Roan, Rev. Jim Conradt for supporting us during our transition. We would also like to thank Bishop Matt Gunter, Rev. Meredyth Albright and Rev. Joanne Skidmore from the Diocesan Office for patiently guiding us through the transition process.
Rev. Jim Conradt will become Assistant Vicar
As Assistant Vicar, Fr. Jim will celebrate Eucharist monthly while Rev. Portia has a Sunday to worship with her family. We are blessed to retain our connection with Fr. Jim and his wife, Nancy, as they have become treasured members of our church family.
